DUTIES

Capturing of bank statements onto excel spread sheet
 Analysis of the Bank account and reconciliation one bank account

Balancing sales journal

Preparation of journal entries

Processing of inter- company payables to South Africa

Posting journal entries onto Sunsystem Filing

Capturing costing schedules of stock transferred betweens branches

  Any assigned work by the Financial Manager

FORECASTING/DEMAND MANAGER  Application closed

 

The incumbment will help to implement and maintain forecasting best practices through the use of the SAP forecasting tool. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead the procurement team in the correct maintenance of static data in order to continuously improve on the effectiveness of forecasting thereby maximising the Africa Logistic Centre’s contribution to Group targets in terms of availability, stock turns and excess stock

 

DUTIES:

 

* Apply initial forecasting application as specified in SAP manuals and procedures

* Analyse results of forecast run by:

- Develop and maintain appropriate product groups that will adhere to similar

       forecast rules

- Develop and maintain reports to identify items/product groups  where the  

  variance to forecasting rules exceeds acceptable parameters

     - Investigate reasons for variances and take appropriate action to reduce

        to acceptable standard

* Apply results of forecasting run by applying forecasting data to MRP

* Identify and investigate opportunities for improvement and methods in forecasting

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

* Three year qualification in Purchasing Management or similar qualification

* At least five years experience in parts purchasing environment,  two in the

  role of forecasting Administration

* Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning( MRP), forecasting and purchasing systems

* Knowledge of computers

* SAP knowledge will be an added advantage

* Good communication and team work skills

* Verbal and written proficiency in English

* Good problem solving skills

* Must be able to handle pressure
